In reply to Michelle. Hi Michelle, yes - the goal of the card sorting is to find patterns in the ways multiple people approach the structure of information. By giving them the same set of cards we can compare and analyse to find commonalities.

Thanks for the great article! Can you please clarify – when doing a card sort with a group of 12 people, with four groups of 3, does each group get the same set of cards? Or, is there one set of cards that gets split up for the groups?
